Have you been wondering what is going on at Cody and Olive?

There will be a parallel road to Cody and two access points to these 22 homes. One is directly across from the Mazurek Plantation entrance and the other is just north of there at the end of our subdivision.
No construction plans available yet, only site plans.
Olive Road Road Widening & Drainage Project
We are finally going to get some relief for the congestion on Olive Road, but it is going to get worse before it gets better.

Project Summary:
- The project consists of roadway and infrastructure improvements along approximately 1.14 miles of Olive Road, from east of Carpenter Creek to N. Davis Highway. The work will convert the existing rural roadway into a Complete Street urban section to enhance safety, capacity, and multimodal accessibility.
- Pedestrian & Bicycle Facilities:** Construction of a 5-foot sidewalk on the north side and a 10-foot shared-use path on the south side, including ADA-compliant features.
- Roadway Improvements:** Milling, resurfacing, widening, and addition of a two-way left turn lane.
- Curb and Gutter:** Installation of curb and gutter with transition to enclosed drainage.
- Construction bid was awarded September 10, 2026; winning bidder has 365 days to complete project.
- During the widening, AT&T will be installing new cables on south side of Olive Road and FPL will be installing new lighting.
- There is also a new 5' sidewalk being added to Johnson Ave. during this same time so that may not be the best alternative to avoid Olive.
